I don't know how educational it is, except cool gadgets tells time and you have to have some amount of memory capabilities in order to remember how to press teh buttons and make it do what you want it to do.My eight year old has recently been interested in spies, spying on others, being sneaky. My 6 year old son wanted this cool gadgets for his birthday so bad, said that is the only thing he really wants (really!). Once he got his hands on it, looked it over and put it to one side. I guess it was not good enough for his age, hence the lower rating on fun value. The watch has some nice features and so I gave higher rating for educational value (potential value). The build seems sturdy, so I am sure cool gadgets will last some time. Gave Spy Watch to 5 year old grandson for Christmas. He showed lots interest in it right away. Don't know yet how durable it is. He loves the "spy scene", so will probably injoy it.There was a Kohls price sticker on the back of the package that had the price peeled off (like you might do if you were giving a gift). We expect better from Pathgedget. When an order is placed, we expect a new, working toy when we open the package.
