Once I received the HP dv7 battery I put it in my computer and ran a status check. The battery rating was okay. I just brought a battery for 15 dollars and the status isn't excellent, satisfactory or even good but okay. This HP dv7 battery doesn't keep the computer running the same as my hp replacement by far and with the functioning status already being okay the battery won't last long. The HP dv7 battery holds charge pretty well but all in all the battery is just okay. The Battery came quickly, and it works just fine, my only negative issue is that one of the corners doesn't quite fit flush, but that problem might be fixed with a little sanding. Otherwise it does exactly what it's suppose to! The HP dv7 battery functions, but doesn't fit securely into the slot, so any movement may cause the connection to fail and the computer to go dead. I fixed it by shimming it in.

This replacement HP dv7 battery is amazing. I bought it to replace the standard battery on my HP Dv6 after it fried and it actual works better than the original. I was so impressed I bought another HP dv7 battery for my sister's laptop! I love this product although I'll probably have to order another soon. Not the companies never unplug the darn laptop and end up burning out the HP dv7 battery fault. This one I blame on family. They . That's what happened to the last one smh
